Webcomic suggestions (difficulty inside)

Most of the webcomics I read, have died off in one way or another (such is life I suppose) so I"m looking for some new ones to read with the following difficulties:

 

-No anime themed ones. I have nothing against anime, just not my style.

-Serious. I've got plenty of ones I read that are lighthearted/silly, looking for something more serious.

-Reasonably new. I don't wish to try to start at the beginning of a comic that's been going on for 10 years, and is published weekly (Schlock Mercenary comes readily to mind)

-Superhero themed, or dealing with superpowers, something like that would be nice to read.

 

Beyond those requirements, I'm open to suggestions.

when you say anime themed what are you referring to? Are you talking the art style itself? cuz anime isn't a genre, just the art style.

Are you on the webtoons app? if not i recommend that to start. Once i get off work in 1.5 hrs, I'll throw you a few suggestions i've found

ok these will all be from the webtoons app. completely free to read, though they have a coin system to read ahead of ones that are updating constantly, but you can just wait a week and get the reading for free.

Carl (technically lighthearted and cute, but often deals with very real world implications of AI and human consciousness and depression)

The witch and the bull (FANTASTIC art)

The little trash mermaid (very cute, but all about environmentalism)

I can look for some others that aren't on the app, I'll let you know

I needed some more, too. So far, the only one I've been reading on that app is Lore Olympus. Don't even know how or why I found it or the app, but started reading that on issue 1 (it's up to 117 now) and haven't ventured into much else. It seems to have become the comic to represent that app (its in all the ads for it, and frequently on the "front page").

 

Anyway, yeh. Gonna look up those stories now, too.
