can someone help me out...should adding extra 8gb ram would be good or should i get 1060 gpu first(my priority is more fps as i use it only for gaming)

my specs

i5 4460,

8gb ddr3 1600mhz ram,

gigabyte-z97 ud3h bk,

2tb hdd,

zotac 1050ti graphic card

corsair cx600 psu

should i add 500gb nvme ssd(even though mobo only support sata 3 not nvme) ?? my hdd is always 100% and avg. response time goes upto 277ms....is hdd bottlenecking

I know the cpu is really old and i am looking to change minimal things before getting a new rig so help me out

SSD! But if your motherboard doesn't support nvme, you should get a sata one, as pcie one wont work.

Otherwise save your money for a new rig, your current rig is pretty much maxed out for what it is, i wouldnt upgrade any component in it anymore.

The jump from 1050ti to 1060? Not that big.

8gb more ram? Not that useful for that caliber of a rig, just don't open chrome while gaming and 8 is plenty.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

Get an ssd and maybe (big maybe) a new gpu when the new ones launch. Then save for a new rig entirely. I would stop after getting a ssd and just save for a new rig.

I would first suggest getting an SSD for your OS and some frequently used programs. A 240GB SATA drive for about $30 will do nicely.

After that, you could upgrade to 16gb, and maybe an rx580 or 570 (could probably sell the 1050ti and buy a used 570 for the same price as nvidia card often hold their value better, even though the 1050ti is worse), however, I would suggest just saving up for a full new system ( you can keep your storage of course)
