I have recently been having the video signal cut out on my monitors when trying to game on my PC. This started yesterday evening. Now, this morning so far, after the video signal cuts out, the fans on my MSI RTX 2060 Super 8 GB rev up and it sounds like a mini jet engine.

Browsing and that sort of thing seems to work fine so far.

I've tried

- Updating to the latest drivers

- Swapping PCIe cables

- Making sure everything's plugged in (everything is plugged in)

I'm at a total loss as to what to do. Does anyone have any solutions to this or is my GPU toast?

How do I use DDU?

  1. Download the DDU ZIP file
  2. Extract the .exe from the ZIP file
  3. Run the .exe, a portable version of 7-Zip will unpack it in a directory of your choice
  4. Shutdown your PC and then start it in safe mode
  5. Open the folder that was extracted by 7-Zip in Safe Mode
  6. Run "Display Driver Uninstaller"
  7. Select GPU on the top right drop menu, then select the GPU manufacturer on the 2nd drop menu
  8. Click "Clean and restart"
