Old Dell Dimension CPU Question

The dell forums stopped support for dimensions so I figured this would be the next best thing, so I have this old dell dimension e520, and its socket is PLGA 775, now, ive heard from different websites that I could use a Core 2 Duo in it to get 64 bit, therefore, 8 gb of ram, but I also heard that the motherboard wouldn't support it. would I need to update bios or would that bios update still do nothing. The cpu i want to upgrade to is a Wolfdale E7300 Core 2 Duo. Also, if I were to upgrade, if I put in 4 2 gb ram sticks into the motherboard, would it support it? thanks.
