That is weird.  Are the other number keys working all right?  Does the 0 key do anything at all when you hit it?  Could anyone else in the house have remapped the zero key in the OS to mess with you?  Is num lock on?

Every other number key AND numpad key is working, num pad on off doesent matter, its a personal PC so anything done was done by me. If it was mapped to something else where could I maybe check that?

I have a razer keyboard so maybe synapse?

My Red Dragon has software to allow me to change mine on my Windows system.  In Linux you can just do it from the keyboard settings.

Here is a set of instructions to do it from Windows 10 directly:

I should also mention ive taken most of the normal precautions, tried other keyboards, deleted drivers + restarted. disabled mouse keys, just about anything I could try

@Kyrax0g Do you have another computer you can plug into to test?

I was already able to confirm it was not an issue with my keyboard because I plugged another keyboard in and once again the only key not working was the zero key.

Anyone have any idea what might cause my zero key on the number row to work perfectly fine when putting in my password to log into windows but then once in the OS it stops working? Confused lol

do you have a macro set on it?

i have macros set with razer synapse and it makes the keys not work at all as their original function. Synapse (or other similar macro software) may not be open before you have logged in so macros dont work yet.

Yeah I tried to see if it was synapse messing with it, doesent seem like it, really dont know what it could be at this point only thing im thinking could help is a potential factory reset of windows settings. Frustrating cause I had to do that just a week or so ago:( Cant escape tech issues no matter what

do you really need that key that much?

seems like its got to be some sort of macro or software messing with it you probably downloaded ages ago and forgot about. Factory reset might be your best bet. Also make sure you know what every program is in task manager and start at boot settings, and turn of all the gaming related (or anything you dont recognise really) programs that could have set macros.

Right thats the thing though is there wouldnt be any hardware from long long long ago, this issue wasnt happening before a factory reset a week ago and then it started happening a few days after the reset, I would've only downloaded essential programs that I know have worked without issue in the past, just why it confuses me
