Budget (including currency): 2000US$

Country: Sweden

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Solidworks.

I am looking to build a computer for Solidworks and I have made up my mind on CPU (very fast Intel chip) and GPU (Nvidia Quadro).

The main thing I need help with is to find a silent case and "as close to" silent PSU and CPU fan/other fans in the case, what could you recommend (liquid cooling will not be accepted for this build).

If it ain´t broke don't try to break it.

Noctua fans, thats a given.

Think you'll struggle with a silent GPU as those quadro are just blower coolers arent they?

Maybe look at the bequiet cases, i know theyre top notch for sound proofing and ventilation

Not much you can do about the Quadro in terms of noise though, since it only comes with a single slot blower style cooler on it. Some good airflow inside the case should help though.

Edit: I just noticed that you're not actually from the US, and prices might be different in Sweden. Let me know if the build above turns out to actually be overbudget for you, and on that note, always tell us your budget in your currency because that's what's relevant to you (unless you actually plan to buy the components from the US, of course).

An AMD cpu will be much better than intel for solidworks

I usually buy a lot more PSU than I need so they are never stressed and if I need to use a second video card I can.

For my i9 10900k cpu I use an EVGA 1300 watt psu. It runs one 2080 ti now but may run second in the future.

I also use 850 and 1000 watt PSUs from either Corsair or EVGA and I never hear them.

For air coolers I use either Noctua NH-D15 or a be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4. I use them on i9 9900ks and i7 8086ks. All idle in the low 30s.

For cases I only use ones that have 200mm fans since they are quieter than smaller fans and the cases fit the big air coolers.

The last one I bought was a Cooler Master H500M but for a budget build I would use a Cooler Master H500 for $120.
