Hey!

I'm in need of a new receiver for my 4K TV so I started doing research an pretty much got a headache. My question is - Do I need a 4K receiver for my 4K TV? My issue is that my tv doesn't have a AUX output so I would need to use HDMI ARC to send sound to the receiver.

If I use the inputs on the TV for my laptop, xbox etc, can I just plug one HDMI between the TV and the receiver to carry sound?

Cheers!

why not use the receivers inputs for your laptop, xbox, etc. thats what they are for. then you dont need to use the arc feature. and yes the receiver will need to be a 4k one which they all are pretty much 4k receivers now
denon, pioneer, or yamaha are all good receivers
