I know I have an inherent issue that involves my modem, do you know the model of both your router and modem? For me, its random disconnects on both WiFi and Ethernet and issues with home phone when trying to pick up an incoming call. Apparently its an issue with the chipset in the modem by Intel Puma 6 Defect that can be seen on this website. Its something that I have to try and figure out getting a new modem from the monopoly ISP in my area.

Ye it's the wireless And modem that cuts out

ive tried lots of stuff and nothing works

If you connect to the Telus gateway with ethernet, do you still experience the intermittent drops in your connection? Or is it only when using a wireless connection?

Should you still be experiencing signal interruption In the case for the former, you might need to contact your ISP directly and have them investigate the issue. This might be a problem with their gateway or the wiring in your area.

With the latter, it can be due to a problem with the built-in wireless radio (which you can disable and replace with your own wireless access point) or there might be too much wireless interference in your area (you'll need to run a wireless survey to tell for sure).
