I see, so my best bet would be the omen one. i actually also thought so at first, but i'm not sure because i only found reviews about the lower spec and it's not released yet by HP themselves here. Also, do you have alternative choice or suggestion about what should i get? Because even though i can afford it, with that price range it still hurt my budget to the limit.

First, ignore the other user. Brand-baaed bias or recommendations are not good. Every brand has good and bad models.

The Asus Zephyrus G14 is very good and usually the top pick for laptops in 2020.

The Asus A15 is fine in a 1660 Ti config. Only the 2060 model has issues.

You can also look at a 1660 Ti version of the Omen. It's only 5% slower than the 2060 and usually much cheaper.

Hello, I'm looking for a laptop that will be used mostly for offices, data compiling, and gaming, and to replace my current i3 6006u vivobook. My budget is around 15 million to 20 million with hard limit of 22mil indonesian Rupiah or 1000$ to 1500$(In comparison with western market ours is roughly 100$ to 200$ or more, more expensive due to import tax). The game i play usually something like tomb raider, Call of duty, and Devil May cry. i know that i should make a pc for this kind of usage, but currently i'm not staying permanently because of work so building a pc is out of question for me.

As for preference i would love to get at least a gtx 1660ti, an i5/R5 is okay but preferably I7/R7, and i don't mind a bit worse display as i'm also planning to build a pc once i have permanent stay in my work. As of right now, i'm eyeing for these laptops. I'll also put the western market price in () and link for the local market that i used.

HP:
HP OMEN 15 RYZEN 7-4800H RTX 2060 Rp20.999.000/1445$(1300$)

HP PAVILION GAMING 15 i5-10300H RTX2060 Rp15.999.999/1.101$(999$) Specsheet for the Pavilion laptop
Note: I include a specsheet for the pavilion because i can't find any review about it yet
Lenovo:
Lenovo Legion 5 R7 4800h Gtx 1650ti Rp18.299.000/1.259$(1.129$)
Lenovo Legion i7 10750h gtx1660ti Rp.20.899.000/1438$(1309$)
Asus:

Asus Tuf A15 R7 4800h RTX 2060 Rp19.999.999/1376$(1200$)

Asus ROG Strix G531GU i7 9750h GTX 1660TI Rp18.999.000/1308$(1200$)

Among those six in the list which one should i get? Or if you have better recommendation, I'm all ears. Thank you and sorry for if my english isn't that good.

Overall, the Omen is your best bet for good performance and low heat.

Never go with Asus or Rog if your on a tight budget especially rog because of how overpriced it is

Actually the TUF series does offer a pretty decent value, although they do tend to run on the hotter side.

Besides running the CPU in the mid 90s and the GPU in the 80s (when under load) + the trash drivers from AMD I haven't had any issue with mine yet. (I have the 2060 model)

Yeah, that's what I mean. The 1660 Ti model runs 10*C cooler and quieter for almost the same performance.

I have a close family member with the 1660 Ti model and their temps and fan noise are generally indistinguishable. Then again due to our workloads, we rarely ever push the GPU alone, so the GPU is often getting only ~60 watts of power with our usage according to GPU Z.

although, i said i don't mind the display spec. But, i'm still curious about the display. how do you feel about the display on your device? is it as bad as they said? or it's actually good enough for games that mainly visuals? As a side not i don't do any creative works like photoshop or premiere. So, i careless for display, added with my plan to buy monitor once i stay permanently somewhere in the future

I would say that it is decent enough for gaming, though I would say that the colours are washed out to some extent, esp. when on battery, though I generally only notice it because I often have my laptop hooked up to two additional monitors. In the end though if you really are not satisfied with the Panda panel you can always grab a similar spec panel with better colours at 72%  NTSC (~100% SRGB) 144hz for 80 to 120 USD.

It's a mid range IPS panel. It's perfectly fine for games and movies.

guess, it's only the heat then. even if it's didn't meet my satisfaction i would just dealt with it and wait till i got my hands on an external monitor. Thx everybody.

One last thing I recommend trying to get the 90Whr model if possible though based off my searches that looks difficult.

Unfortunately that's seems unlikely in my country. As we get the 48whr model top to bottom. But, I need the space anyway for hdd as nvme still pretty expensive here
