1. Im curently using a Sun Pro ATX-550W PSU. It has on the sticker the following numbers etc: 17A on 12v+ and 0.8A on 12v - . What do these numbers mean and is this power supply ok to use?

2. The power supply doesnt have an 8 pin motherboard plug it only has a 4 pin one, is this ok? will it or could it damage anything etc?

I wouldn't trust them or it. Not sure what those numbers mean, but don't trust the brand PSU's are a big thing of a computer never cheap out on them.  As for your second question, wouldn't it just not give the right amount of power then? Correct me if I am wrong <<<<

It may, 550W seems plentiful, but I have never heard of the brand and wouldn't ever trust them in any of my builds.

dont use this psu , otherwise you may lose everything you have. This is due to the fact it is not 80+ rated and the brand is not a trusted well known one. Save money up for a bit and get a better psu otherwise it will cost you alot more

Theoretically the PSU should be able to power that setup, though it is a very very basic generic unit and I don't recommend using it at all, because eat might blow up and destroy all of your other parts. Just buy something from a reputable brand with at least 80+ Bronze certificate. If you are on a budget, something like the Corsair CX 500 or CX 600 is a good option. Also the Cooler Master GM Series PSUs.

ok thanks, is the Corsair CX500 good for quality etc? is it worth buying? to just run a amd 7770 or 7850 in with an i5 4670k? and or difference from my fx 4130?

will the CX500 run a amd 7770 or 7850 with an i5 4670k? and how much less power will the i5 use from my fx 4130?

That PSu will have enough juice to power each of those setups. The i5 and the 4130 use pretty much the same amount of power.

ok any references / proof of your words? i always thought amd cpu and gpu use more power than intel and nvidia hardware?

Usually yes, but that is not the case, because the 4130 is not that power hungry like the 6300 or the 8350 or even the stupid 9590.
