Rubber isolators

I really need some rubber isolators for my hard drives. One is a Seagate Momentus 5400.6 (small, laptop HDD sized screws) and the other is my Caviar Blue (regular, desktop sized screws). Anyone know where I can get these?

Close. I was thinking more like something you'd put on the screws themselves, maybe.

If nobody can find per screw rubber, I'll take it in a heartbeat. Even though my build isn't exactly pretty, I think the per-screw would look a little better.

Oh, so similar to how an o-ring mod works for a mechanical keyboard, right?

I have no idea where to find those. However this would do the same thing, the screws go through the holes on the side. (Technically, it does go on the screws themselves )

The HDD will sit on top of the rubber, and you cut of the extra.

Even so, these things cost 4 dollars. If you screw up a cut or two then it isn't a huge deal anyways. It could potentially be a very fun DIY project to gobble up some of your free time.

I'm not sure exactly where to look but all you would need are rubber washers that fit over a 6-32 screw. You could probably get a handful of them for the price of one of those gaskets.

Hmm, never really thought about recommending rubber washers... Not a bad idea. I'd imagine you could a few of them for the same price at a local hardware store and not have to worry about shipping. This actually seems to be a pretty good idea.

Go to your nearest hardware store (lowes, Ace Hardware, Home depot, etc) and but some small rubber washers.
