Which is better (old cards)

Hey I need a question answered for a friend he has the option to get a free gtx 560 and wants to know if its better than his current gtx 470 I can't really find any benchmarks for him so I am asking here.

If it's free why doesn't he just take it? If it's not better, he can sell it. If I had the opportunity to take a 770 for free, I'd take it. I don't care that I already have two 780s; doesn't mean I have to use it.

If he wants to see something much better, he can spend 150 bucks and get a 750 ti.

GTX 470 is faster but it may be louder, hotter, and will consume more power. Also why not just sell both and then get a GTX 760?

Im sure you noticed but the 470 is only listed in the benchmarks so the highlighted cards are really what you comparing.

I gave you my answer with my initial post. Why are you even asking this? He has the opportunity to get a newer (relatively speaking) card for FREE. It's a no brainer.

Because the older cards can be better in some cases.

You're missing my point. It's FREE, not to mention it's a generation higher and only tier lower. Take the damn thing.
