Hi I am getting a new laptop in June and am torn between the new aorus x7 and alienware 17.

The aorus has i7 4700hq, gtx 765m sli, 2x 128gb ssd in raid 0 + 1 tb hdd, and 16gb ram.

The 17 in mind sports a gtx 780m i7 4700mq, 16gb ram, 500gb hdd(huge downgrade for the aorus), and a really awesome look.

Both systems come in at around $2100.00.

Thanks for the help!

Unless you have a really good reason, don't get such a bulky laptop, if you already have a desktop get a razer blade or other thin gaming laptop, if you don't spend $1000 on the laptop and $1000 on a desktop.

Unless you absolutely need a laptop for portability, you can build a nice desktop for that price.

Do not buy the Alienware.

My brother spent 3700$ on a MX17R3 and this pos did nothing but NOT work. [Over heating, BSODing, ...] and so on and so forth. Alienware will give you AIDS. In your head.
