So this was my first build and it was on a budget so please don't judge the specs or my knowledge (or lack of).

I was using a Rog Strix GTX 1050 OC in my system for just over a year with absolutely no issues whatsoever, and about 3 months ago I bought a Rog Strix 1070 (maybe not the best value upgrade but it's all I could afford at the time and was the cheapest option for me), now in the past 2 days i've gone to turn on the system and.. nothing, the VGA and GPU lights on the mobo are lit up and the system just wont post.

I've swapped out the 1070 for my old 1050 to see if it was a gpu issue and still no luck, i've tried resetting the CMOS and replacing the battery and still nothing. I read online that it could be a PSU issue as it may not be enough power but surely the issue would've happened before if it was due to that. Any help would be much appreciated!

My current specs:

MSI B350 PC Mate

Ryzen 5 3600

GTX 1070 Rog Strix

Corsair CX550M PSU

WD BLACK SN750 NVMe SSD - Boot Drive

Kingston A400 480GB SSD

16gb 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance RAM

I would love to tell you there's something magical you can do to fix it, but aside from the info listed here:

There's not much else you can do. I would suggest your PSU has probably broken or even bricked something, but you can only diagnose that by replacing the PSU.

That's shame, do you think it would still be covered under the warranty?

Depends what warranty you got and if your unit is still in warranty. Might be hard to convince them it's dead if it can still power a system.

Have you tried putting your GPU in a different pci slot?

Yes i've tried both GPUs in different slots, and i've tried plugging the cables into different outputs, still no luck
