Hello all,

I'm having a bit of an issue... (obviously based on the sub-forum I posted in)

I had to undo my overclock, due to changing some components, and decided to redo it today.

So, I went in, following the same guide as before, and changed everything back (with the CPU under what I had done before, 4.4 instead of 4.5)

I hit save and start.

The computer came back on, but the screen didn't...

So, I restarted.

I got the screen on, but then was greeted with this,

w2lX2Rx.jpg

*Sorry for the image, the HTC One early versions have a messed up camera*

I restarted a few times, with no luck getting past. So, I then went into the BIOS

The first time I went into the BIOS I had major issues.

The screen lagged on images(Like when you used to move the window around on windows when it was having issues, and it dragged around, leaving the old one behind every few seconds)

Freaked out, I reset again. Let it try to go through to OS, no luck, same message as before.

I went to the BIOS again, and reset to defaults,

and I'm in, with no issues...?

What happened? Will it happen again? Fixable?

I've had this overclock before, with no issues... :o

My BIOS is the 2104 update of it, my specs are in my sig (minus the overclock), If you need any other info, let me know.

This doesn't look like an Overclock issue. I mean it doesn't say anything at all about an Overclock problem. This message is telling you that the UEFI/BIOS/Boot Device/OS run into a problem.

Did you try to change the boot device to the correct boot device in the UEFI/BIOS? If that don't work, try to reset the UEFI/BIOS settings to default, and reboot, then go back into the BIOS and set your Boot Device to the Correct boot device then save and reboot again.

I'm on the computer now, after resetting the BIOS, it worked fine (I tried fixing the boot order before hand, with no luck)

My question would be, why did this happen?

I don't want to sit on stock clocks if I can help it, but I want to figure this out before I try again.

Im not sure. I would just try to Raise the clocks little by little, rebooting each time to make sure its at least booting correctly.

Have you touched the CPU Voltage at all when you did your overclocking? If so, what did you have it set as?

And your sure you just messed with the Overclock Settings and nothing more right?

Yep, I've done this overclock in the past, just redoing the settings.

Voltage was sitting at 1.4 V
