Used i7 and RX 580 will probably be your best bet. Also add an SSD if you haven't already.

Upgrade RAM (16GB minimum)

Upgrade Power Supply to be able to handle the next upgrades

Upgrade GPU (RX580 or maybe even a gtx 1660)

Upgrade CPU + cooler (maybe a used i7 on that platform)

If any budget left, whack in an SSD.

Ebay and CEX will be your friend, especially CEX for the most part!

So is my storage and ram enough? People say you need 16GB of Ram.

How much storage for a SSD? Also should I get the K versions of the i7?

Would a GTX 1650 4 GB be good?

The 1660 would be better, could see you wanting to upgrade in the future.

If you wanted the 1650, at least get the super version for the faster memory. 10-15% performance increase. 1650 would also mean you might be able to avoid a PSU change as some of them sip power straight from the slot!

So the RX 580 8GB is only slightly more expensive than the 1650 SUPER 4GB, which would be better?

According to user benchmark, the 1650 super!

https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1650S-Super-vs-AMD-RX-580/4058vs3923

Its also newer, more power efficient and should run cooler (and quieter)

Got it! Also what should the amount of watts should there be in the power supply?

Is there any motherboard suggestions you would recommend or is the Sharkbay good enough?

You could build an entire new pc for £500 using the ryzen 3 3100, 16GB ram and a gtx 1650!

I know this, i built 2 this week!

Also if the case has case cooling do you need a separate cooler?

You always need aCPU cooler yes, thats a given.

Aftermarket cooler if budget allows, but the wraith stealth that it comes with will control that 3100 just fine

rx 580 has more vram and performs slightly better. So i would get rx 580 over 1650 super.

DO NOT use usershitmark. use reviews from known youtubers or known forums like htis, anandtech or tomshardware. Check this: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html

Any decent 400w+ psu. your pc will pull about 300w (with 580) and about 250w (with 1650 super)

Have your pc blown up yet? Since you know that that psu is really bad. we have a tier list that y ou can look at here to give you some perpective that what are actually even decent power supplies.

1650 super is waste of money. Performs worse than rx 580 and has only 50% of the vram of rx 580.
