I can assure you either will be a great GPU, and will work with your ASUS mobo.  No worries there.  Good brands, good cards.

hello,

It seems like I can't find any decent comparison between these two:

EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC ULTRA
and
ASUS ROG RTX 2070 SUPER STRIX Advanced

for gaming ofcourse

what do you think?

thanks.

They're both good cards.

What are they both priced at? The coolers are decent and the pcb's are as well.

i'm assuming the evga card is cheaper as that asus card is good but it can be slightly more expensive (Rgb ect.) . Whats the price of the two cards?

Their cooling performance is similar

Just choose the cheaper one

I have the 2080ti versions of both these cards.  Granted this isnt completely apples to apples, but the coolers are similar in terms of design.

The XC ultra is a thicc boy 2 fan.  Runs reasonably quiet for a 2 fan, mostly because the heatsink is so big.

The strix is quieter though.  Big heatsink, longer, 3 fan, hard to beat the acoustics of the strix.

Both clock similarly but ymmv on any given card depending on silicon.

I am happy with both cards; if I had to pick one slight edge to the strix due to amazing acoustics.  It folds 24/7 in a meshify sitting next to me at work and I hardly notice its on.

El Zoido:  9900k + RTX 4090 / 32 gb 3600mHz RAM / z390 Aorus Master

The Box:  3900x + RTX 3080 /  32 gb 3000mHz RAM / B550 MSI mortar

Asus costs 50$ more than EVGA

And truly RGB is not important to me at all

I currently own a asus strix 960 and the fan is the "quietest" thing ever.

Do you say the differences is so big?
because if they are bassicaly the same I don't thing I get the Asus (though I LOVE Asus stuff)

the difference is not mind blowing, but it is noticable.  Partially because the strix is longer and has an additional fan.  Its noise is on par with a EVGA FTW3 (same concept, big fat, long cooler with 3 fans rather than a little shorter cooler with 2 fans - the XC ultra)

The XC Ultra was just a little louder than the strix.  Dont know if thats worth 50 bucks to you.  Again, similar clocks and performance between the two.

Maybe I should go for the Asus only because my mobo will be Asus
