I've always had a passion for the tech industry but with all the C*VID 19 going on, "normal" jobs are harder to find near me. Is there any tips / suggestions you might have for someone to get into the remote tech industry? I've got a pretty well rounded background with the ins and outs of this industry but looking to further that and even get into the work that it holds. :D

what field exactly ?

Support Specialist mainly. I'm not as familiar with Networking yet and programming is fun but I don't think I hold the right credentials to make things that a client or company would be satisfied with as of this moment.

Many programming jobs will require having some work experience in the past and/or certain degrees/certifications, it's not as easy to find a programming job which accepts applicants that are self-taught or have limited credentials although if you take a deeper look you may be able to find one.

Best of luck finding your perfect job!,

Don't you have search engines for jobs? There are websites specialized in this...

I wasn't necessarily saying "hey find me a job so I can work" it was more of a "how do I further my knowledge to become more desired in that field" type of thing. I do understand though. I figured it's more direct to learn and ask through a place where tech is the big picture.

Thank you! I learned some languages in high school during my time in a tech course as part of an extra stem course we had the option of taking but I never really did more than simple programs that would log files and all. Nothing extreme like building massive multi-use programs (Discord, Spotify etc)

If you want it, you´ll find a way....

I was working as an mechanial engineer for 10 years, and this year due to covid, i switched to become a professional admin/systemintegrator.

So theres always a chance

I personally love troubleshooting and building computers and servers. I have only ever worked on one server which was in school. That's awesome dude. I think it'd be a good change of pace for you. Hope that all works out.
