Just wondering why my windows restarts randomly every now and again. I have it plugged into a power bar but i still think that the power exceeds the max capacity of my outlet power for some strange reason. I do have a bar fridge plugged into the same circuit but just lately its been starting to do soo.

For some reason I think its a windows issue not a power based issue

my monitor flicker does, but I don't think the windows restart does

sounds like unclean power to me, tried moving the fridge to a different circuit?

maybe unplug it and see if the problem still occurs

I'm gonna give it a try but I think it's something to do with windows for some strange reason. It couldn't be the board or the cpu could it? or non firm connections?

Corsair 750CX. It just shuts down and still keeps running. Unless it has to do with my windows key its kinda weird. I lost my cd and license key somewhere. however i do happen to have the outside box and the numbers but it doesn't have the windows code.

Don't have much time to read the whole thread but the CX Green models are pretty shit and unreliable so it's not out of the question for them to be causing issues.

Maybe before buying a new psu, I’m not sure if you mentioned this already but do a clean install of windows 10. Windows has many things wrong with it so that could be your problem

you could be right. I kinda wanna test it first before i just assume. everything shouldn't be on the same circuit here. but this house is ancient and im moving soon. wont need my bar fridge and 1000 other things plugged in then. It has only glitched once since i reinstalled windows. but my monitor still flickers when the compressor kicks in. thats probably not good on the psu either the power surges. I think for my new place I'll get a ups, and have the psu tested and go from there first.

Soo it's looking more likely its a windows glitch than the psu. I tested the psu with the thermaltake dr II power tester and it looked fine. Under load isn't when the computer shuts down either which is my suspicion of a windows glitch somewhere. Anyone have any suggestion of what settings would actually do this or someone that knows more about this?
