Help retrofitting thunderbolt 3 for E-GPU

Hello, I have an MSI GL62M 7RDX laptop with a GTX 1050 2gb GPU, I would like to use a Thunderbolt External gpu with it, because I have an EVGA GTX 1070 ti Card lying around ever since I upgraded my desktop to MSI 1080 ti aero OC card. feel like this really quit and very overclockable card could be used in an external gpu dock to work well with the i7 7700HQ, possible bottlenecks yes but a lot better than the 1050 2gb built-in, hoping to use the magnificent card or even trade it for a FTW edition potentially. can anyone please help me? I have a 500gb Samsung ssd in the m.2 slot, but I'm willing to take out the wi-fi card, although if having a regular sata ssd is potentially good enough for gaming on the go i may take out the m.2 ssd for an adapter for the thunderbolt 3. But this is absolutely the last thing I wanna do because not only storage space but performance is just thrown out the window, but could be ok if I get to use the 1070ti as I wrote here, thank you.

idk bout m.2 to thunderbolt, but pretty sure there's m.2 to full size pcie adapters

but you'll need a PSU to run it, and not hot-plugable

 

also make sure your laptop is NVME, not m.2 sata

AFAIK there's no such thing. There M.2 to external x16 slot adapters, but they're pretty janky.

 

Thunderbolt is more than just "PCIe over a USB cable", so you can't just bolt it in and expect everything to work just fine. There's settings in BIOS that need to be configured that (for obvious reasons) aren't exposed on laptops that didn't ship with Thunderbolt (if adding it in after the fact were even possible).
