Need some clarification

Hey guys, I'm thinking of buying a ssd and I want to do a fresh install but I have a question. My laptop is windows 8.1 so when I install windows 7 HP on it, will I need to install windows 7 drivers or will windows 8 ones work? Also, the M500 has a lower write speed then other drives, will I notice this is day to day use?

You'll have to use the drivers for Windows 7.

 

Read/writes aren't that dramatically when it comes to day to day performance. What is important, is low latency and fast access times. and any modern SSD will give you a blazing fast experience.

I think you may have to install the Windows 7 drivers, but I'm not too sure. For the write speed, it will only matter I guess when writing to the drive (saving/downloading), though it will only change the speeds of those. By how much? I don't know

well if youre changing the drives it wont really matter what drivers you need, since none will be on the PC anymore. just get the W7 ones
