I need help ASAP. I have a pc I will be giving to my brother as a gift in the next 3 days. I need help now!

So I installed "Windows 10" & everything was going smoothly until I setup the drivers and got a error by AMD saying "Windows update in progress" I went to task manager and noticed my GPU had not shown up. A couple seconds later loud fan noises then boom blue screen! I had connected my monitor to my GPU but it still works I was unsure as to what had happen. Please help me!

What could have happened, and this is just speculation on my part, is that you've tried installing a driver at the same time that windows update did. That caused your bluescreen.

i tried installing things while windows update was running once, it broke the OS and had to do a clean format all over

what i do now:

install windows -> check for update and restart as many times as it needs to stop finding new update -> then i install drivers and commonly used softwares from ninite.com -> install remaining softwares

try not to have more than 1 thing installing at once as they may have to change the registry and that might cause issues

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

install the gpu and mobo drivers and see if it still happens

update mobo bios

if that doesn't solve it

swap parts and find out. if its the gpu, put it in your computer and see if it does the same

CPU: Ryzen 5500 GPU: RX 6800 RAM: DDR4 3200MHZ 48GB (2x8+2x16 GB)  MOBO: MSI B450-A PRO Display: 4k120hz with freesync premium.

Got a new error message

kmode_exception_not_handled refers to applications and drivers overwriting each others memory. Your error is most likely due to a corrupt driver. If you have a USB drive, remake your windows 10 setup USB and drop the drivers onto it in a folder afterwards, and DO NOT CONNECT TO THE INTERNET AFTER SETUP. Install all your drivers first, and then make sure it all works, then do the interweb stuffs. If it doesn't work, then it's hardware. Reseat your PCIe devices and RAM, and just check that all out. That's the basic troubleshooting but if that doesn't work, your stuff is defective. Also: don't forget these things: 1. That's the worst case scenario and 2. Google + Safe mode is your friend. It seems daunting doing troubleshooting but knocking things of the to-do list until it works feels great when it does work. Oh and I forgot, check your BIOS configuration :)

because even after having it enabled after doing a windows update from a fresh windows copy it still crashed and same shit

sounds like windows is installing the wrong driver for one of your hardware

try booting into safe mode, disable windows hardware update (though i heard it no longer works) and then go to device manager and start uninstalling drivers one by one and check if problem still occurs

needless to say, get a copy of whatever driver u need from the motherboard manufacturer website first

I had a recurring blue screen issue with my new build and this blue screen specifically came up. For me, the issue was Ram related. It both was being undervolted by the board and was loading up the wrong Ram profile. I still get some issues with blue screens when doing GPU intensive tasks, but that one specifically, not anymore.
I remember, when trying to fiox this myself, that I found someone with an identical issuem who claimed that deactivating Windows Defender fixed the issue, I tried it and haven't had even 5% of the Blue Screens I was getting prior. Trying deactivating Windows Defender before getting your GPU drivers etc.
