A few things I can list off the top of my head:

  • Run 1 dimm at a time
  • Run with a backup known good dimm
  • Isolate your PSU short the single green and any 1 black cable with a paper clip. Power on and see if it shuts down.
  • Re-install your mobo checking to see if you've added an unnecessary standoff that may be causing a short

First strip the motherboard off all pci and sata devices you don't need plugged in (run on integrated graphics if possible)

So here's a short list of possible issues if it still doesn't work:

1. Bad ram or ram slot (try different slot/ram configs)

2. Bad sata port (unplug all sata ports and try again)(I've seen a bad port break a bios when there is something plugged into it)

3. Bricked bios (if your motherboard has dual bios switch to the second bios,  should be a switch on the board if this is the case)

4. Bad processor (if you have another processor you can check with the system then its worth trying)

5. Chipset doesn't match the processor (if your mobo requires a certain bios revision for your processor then this could be the issue)

6. If you do have a GPU in a pcie slot then make sure there is power connected to it. (if you have integrated graphics take the GPU out)

7. You said the motherboard lights up so its getting power however the psu could still be an issue.  as a last ditch effort you could try a different psu.

As you can see there's alot of stuff that can cause this issue so you will just need to troubleshoot with whatever spare hardware you have.  the easiest way to be entirely sure its the motherboard if you don't have enough spare hardware around to swap stuff out would be to take a working motherboard out of one of your working machines and swap it into the system and see if it posts (assuming you have another mobo that supports the chipset).

Make sure you plug in a motherboard header speaker so you can hear it post if its a graphics issue.  Also I'm not sure if the motherboard has a debug led but if it does google the code it displays and see what you turn up.

@Wolfereign since he's retarded and doesn't give you the full details, I will. (he's on teamspeak with me)

When he boots the PC, EVERYTHING turns on, fans, leds on the motherboard, HDD, CPU fan.    There is just no video signal/ post.

He's using onboard graphics, and all the specs I posted in the second post.

I read the thread about no-post, he did not.

It appears i havent fully awoke yet, ok so with an issue like this it mainly points to ram and motherboard, pretty much what bradcoolio said, unless its the unusual broken cpu which rarely happens(i never saw one with my own eyes) but broken cpus then to scramble words according to the research i did on them a while back. I wish i could be more helpful at any rate good luck and i hope you find the cause of the problem

We need to know if the system posts or not.   Get a motherboard speaker or throw in a known working dedicated gpu to test (to rule out integrated graphics messing up).  Also even though the system powers up the PSU can still be the issue.   When it comes to no post you have to put in the time troubleshoot components.

Ive tried the ram individually, what else could i do for the motherboard? or possibly the ram. i can grab some crappy ram from current walmart desktop and try it w/ those. or should i just try and rma the motherboard?

I think you said before that there was no video output displaying, you can try another output if you wish but it seems like you could have a broken capacitor or a bad solder point, rma does seem like the logical choice however

He tried HDMI first, that didn't work so he tried DVI and that didn't either.   Could it be the CPU?  When he installed it, I told him to take a picture first and the triangles were lined up+ so were the 2 nothces, so I'm assuming it didn't get messed up or something.

i doubt its the cpu, its very very uncommon for a broken cpu to be well broken, my guess is that its the motherboard.

Fucking idiotic, hes fried that board definitely, you can get charges very easily from the bed due to the material its made out of, he might of well made it on a carpet. yeah thats the problem, he screwed up and now he is paying the price, rma the board and dont tell the company that it is his fault, juts say doa and you are good to go.

If the board was fried would it even start up the system? Or would that be why it's not posting?

And yeah, he posted a pic and I could see cloth-like substance behind the screw holes, and I asked "what's it on...?"

Depending on what is fried the answer is yes and no, doesnt he have a kitchen table or something, honestly thats just stupid, ive built a crazy amount of pcs in my time and never did anything so stupid god im shocked, static is the first thing you should know about. also dont fall into the trap of getting a strap they are completely pointless in all situations.

A carpet is better then a bed, hell at least put it on the anti static bag, that bag isnt the best surface but regarding antistatic issues its miles ahead, if you dont like that then use the box that the motherboard came in, ive always used that box(i put the bag on top if its dusty), then touch the case whenever you take out a new product, touch the case if you scratch yourself especially your hair.
