CPU core problem

SuperDudeX

Hi recently I changed my cores on ryzern master to use only 4 instead of 6 as i had seen that rust only utilises 4 cores and you may get more fps setting your cpu to only use 4 so i did that and got less frames but after reverted it i still had less frames. Rust is no longer playable as i get 50fps but when i look around my sense feels super low and goes down to 15fps other games have less fps as well but are still playable above 60 range. I have checked to see that all my cores are in use and they are.

Specs:

Ryzern 5 1600

Gtx 1660 super

16gb ram

A reply would be really appreciated

Your 4 core logic for rust doesn't work as well. The game will use 4 cores to the max and leave the other alone. Windows and other processes use the unused cores then so that they do not steal away performance from the game. So if you disable cores you will get less performance as windows and other tasks will start using the same 4 cores that rust is using.

You should uninstall ryzen master or reset it to default and then go into your bios and also reset it's default settings.
