LF AP/router hardware recommendations?

Ok so my cable modem is in the basement with my main computer but i have a cable running up to the main floor with a 4 port switch that connects to the TV, xbox, and playstation. I want to replace the switch with something so can keep thoses devices wired but also add better wireless signal for the second floor (I am using a powerline adapter repeater thing on the third floor it it sucks) i was wondering if anyone had any recommendations.
