I was tuning my oc, using manual voltage instead of adaptive.

I had an oc of 4.7ghz core speed at 1.27v and my cpu cache speed 4.4ghz with 1.2v

Seemed stable from my stress tests.

I turned adaptive mode on and didnt change any of the offsets or anything, just simply switched to adaptive. With that it wouldnt even boot into the os. I figurued I need to change a few of the offsets. When i switched back to adaptive it showed the cpu voltage at 1.008v. I figured since i had it at 1.27v before I just need to minus 1.008 from 1.27 which is 0.262, so I set the offset to 0.262. I left the cpu cache voltage as auto

It booted fine with that change. I started a stability test and it seemed fine. Until I looked at cpuid and it showed the voltages were going up to 1.4125v which freaked me out. Can anyone help me figure how to properly set it up with the adaptive voltage based on my manual voltages?

I thought people wanted to keep it on manual, i think there is no real benefit to having it on adaptive. Manual still only affects the turbo freq, and when it is under load.

I can only guess as i am not a hardcore overclocker (see my sig), see what your Voltage line calibration is set to (i can't remember the setting again, i will edit when i do).

Also, could you list the options you have in the BIOS, what you can work with.

Spoiler

Case Bitfenix Ghost, Mobo Asus Maximus VIII Ranger, CPU i7 6700K @4.2 Ghz cooled by Arctic cooling Freezer i30, (barely). GPU Nvidia GTX 970 Gigabyte G1 @1519Mhz core, RAM 16Gb Crucial Ballistix CL16 @2400Mhz. SSD 128GB Sandisk Ultra Plus as my OS drive. HDD's  1TB  Seagate ST31000524AS its OEM, 3TB Seagate Barracuda, 2x 500GB WDC Blue (RAID 0)

If it isn't working absolutely perfectly, according to all your assumptions, it is broken.
