So, my 12 year old decided to punch the brand NEW(less than 2 months) monitor. I have worked on TVs in the past but not monitors. I tried finding a replacement for the screen and I am having no luck. Does anyone know where I can find them?

Sincerely,

The gamer Mom of a hot-headed gamer kid.

Yeah...you're better off buying a new monitor. That looks like it'll cost about as much

Why? if she has warranty get it replaced...

Warranty doesn't apply to "Hulk Smash"

True, but claim it that it fell, how would they know that it was punched...

Still not covered. Any form of physical damage isn't covered. The only rare exceptions are if something on the board combusts or explodes

Physical damage isn't covered by warranty. This is not a product default. Monitors are not intended to be punched.

I have no idea where you could get a replacement screen for it, sorry.

Is it *your* monitor that you need to use? Buy a new monitor and no pocket money for the kid and/or make them do jobs to earn some cash like mowing neighbours lawns until the cost of the monitor is paid off.

If it's your kids monitor on their PC then make them go without the computer until they save up enough cash to replace the monitor out of their own pocket. I guarantee if he has to go a year without a computer while saving up for a new monitor he will be appreciating his new monitor and won't be punching it.

Not much you can do about the monitor but at least you can turn it in to a life lesson for your kid.

Amazon is showing that it's not available for in my country, but shows a price of $260 USD for that model of monitor. If it's still available at that price you could replace it. $260 isn't too bad for a 1440p 144hz monitor. Could have been a lot worse.
