Hello. My name is Dennis and recently I have been encountering some trouble with my PC. Prior to this, the CPU has had a preset overclock of 3.9 gHz (changed through the BIOS). However, lately I started having problems in video games and video rendering in Premiere Pro (like sudden freezing, FPS drops and shutdowns). I do not really understand what the problem may be and, thus, what the solution could be (especially for decent FPS in games) and what can I do. I've linked all the parts here and I also linked several pictures related to the current conditions. My questions would be why did I start encountering all these issues and what can I do to solve them? I've tried raising the voltage of the CPU and the RAM MHz, but I haven't achieved anything.

How many years have you had this OC applied for? 3.9GHz was near the OC limit of these 1st gen Ryzen 7 CPU's (people were very lucky to hold 4.0-4.1GHz), if a higher voltage is applied the CPU has most likely degraded with time which is normal. Just because an OC was stable does not mean it will be forever. Have you had any blue screen crashes?

You would either need to drop a few megahertz on your CPU OC or potentially increase voltage, depending how high it is set at right now. Although most likely you just need to lower your OC. I would see if that helps stability.

@NaNNNoteK

🤔 Have you tried enabling A.I Overclock tuner in the bios? If you insist on overclocking your CPU, then you should revert the CPU to stock values and let the computer determine what the power settings and core clock speeds should be at any given moment with A.I Overclock tuner if you haven't tried it already. Its similar to precision boost overdrive in my motherboards bios, and it does a job fantastic job. Trying to manually overclock the CPU myself has caused me nothing but trouble. No one can do a better job handling this type of activity than the computer itself.
