Hi,

 

I am just getting Christmas gifts started for my family (I don't have too much money) and am looking to get a gpu which is capable of least 70 frames on most games low-med (if just low with 1 thing med thats cool) my budget is 150  pounds max (if its less thats cool but I cannot budge as I have alot to buy) I can buy from Amazon UK or Overclockers UK. I also need a psu, I can spend 50-70 pounds on that.

I probably wouldn't buy GPUs just now though - considering Ampere and RDNA2 are launching in a few months, you'll likely be able to snatch some great deals on the used market fairly soon (GTX 1070, GTX 1660 Super, GTX 1660Ti, GTX 1070Ti, etc.).

About the best you're going to do for £150 on a graphics card is an RX 570 or maybe 580. That should get you 60+ fps on low-med at 1080p.

@Chris Pratt @Mateyyy I found out he's got a 700w semi modular with 2 6 pin connectors and 1 4 pin. (I think)

That doesn't really tell a whole lot, except for the fact that if it's only got a 4-pin EPS connector (not an 8-pin), then it's very likely a super old and/or super poor unit.

@Mateyyy Am looking to get 570 or 580 which do you thinks best for 70 fps 1080p as well as what psu in my budget would be a good fit.

580 would probably be the best fit, if possible try and get the 8GB version.

@gloop I am looking for a psu on a budget of 70 pounds on amazon uk or overclockers uk as  the corsair ones are sold out everywhere. Any help would be awesome. Also I went for 570 8gb as the 580 is 30 more (I'd like to spend little as possible) and its performance while playing his favourite games isnt major he'll get 60 fps no problem (GTA V FiveM)
