Noisy system fan - Corsair, in a GD09 HTPC case

I have a Silverstone GD09 HTPC case with 1 added 120mm system fan, a Corsair. (the case comes with its own fan too)

The fan is constantly changing speed all the time and is quite annoying, the PC is about a meter away.

Can I simply disconnect it?   (Core i7 7700 with stock cooler, no overclock)
Is there a way to keep the fan constant or not change so rapidly?
Or should I buy a quieter fan?

I've set the Fan in the BIOS to "Silent" (was difficult to find), I'll see how that goes, thanks 👍

yeah sorry it is labelled as "quote". You can also select bits by highlighting the text and pressing "quote selection"
