I have an old Windows 7 laptop i used in 2015, i upgraded but i don't want to throw it away. And there's something that's really bothering me. Some apps that i open crash and shows the message

Has stopped working and the fault module would be KERNELBASE.DLL. I thought that the file is corrupted or missing but it's still there and normal and other apps can use it normally. After few hours of Google and Youtube i tried opening cmd and typing in the regsvr32 command but it still doesn't work then the message Microsoft Registry Server has stopped working showed up then i tried using DEP to fix the Microsoft Registry Server problem, but it said you can't set DEP attributes on 64-Bit executables. Now i'm pretty desperate and wanting to throw the laptop away, help me please
