So I'm fairly new to the whole world of building custom gaming PC's, and my initial build is beginning to fail me. I'm looking to put together a mid-high end pc. The only parts I currently have that I'm wanting to keep are my RTX 2060 GPU, my Corsair Vengeance 3000MHz 16gb ram kit and my 550W power supply. I know nothing about what CPU I should pair these with, and which motherboard to go with as well. Please help!
Thanks :)

Budget is anywhere between $750-$1000 AUD, which is like $500-$750 USD. But all I'm really aiming to buy with this budget the new motherboard and CPU.
My previous build was as follows:
CPU: Intel i5-8500 (looking to get into AMD rather than getting another Intel chip) Used the stock Intel cooler.
Motherboard: Aorus Z370 Ultra Gaming Wifi
GPU: Zotac Gaming Geforce RTX 2060 (want to keep)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16Gb 3000MHz (want to keep)
PSU: Corsair CXM 550 W 80+ Bronze Semi Modular (want to keep)
Case: Thermaltake View 71 Tempered Glass edition

Is it possible to wait till September-October for Zen 3? It's well worth it. If not ,get this now and upgrade to Zen 3 then. Enable PBO on the 3300X and it will match your old 8500 easily.

Are there any equivalent motherboard alternatives that support WiFi? That's the only stipulation I forgot to mention, as I'm not able to use ethernet for my pc.

The Strix is good but costly
The Aorus is shit and the BIOS is unstable. Avoid it.
