Hello, so yes I have a gl502vs, it has been serving its purpose well. But, recently I've decided to move on to a desktop, after much budgeting and planning, I decided that it would be much better if I can turn my laptop (Model stated earlier) into a desktop. I've seen some pictures of people doing this but I'd like if someone could write down the steps for me as I've never built a PC before. Also, will I need to add a power supply? As I'm planning on adding more (RGB) fans, and more RAM. And about the RAm, does it have to be the same model or could I add a " Team T-Force Delta RGB 8 GB DDR4-3000   2 x 4GB) I would've gone for more memory but my laptop already has 24GB of RAM. Also, recently I upgraded my HDD from 1tb to 2tb. But because of the pandemic, I couldn't get an internal hard drive so I put in an External hard drive inside the laptop, its been going fine but will this damage my PC?

I appreciate your time, tips and suggestions!.

Thank you.

Also, would I be need an ATX or micro atx? Because I want to put it in a case.

Laptops do not use the standard components that desktop PCs do.

You cannot put them in a PC case and turn them into a desktop.

Instead of doing all of that work, why not by a decent laptop dock and connect it to monitors that way? Mounting laptop components inside of a desktop case will be a complex undertaking. Not really worth your time and effort.
