Oh nvm. Found out what is the problem. You need to create a custom resolution in nvidia!

As Tigerleon said, for running 240hz, you need to create custom resolution and then choose that :)

Hi, i bought a new monitor SAMSUNG C27RG50. Its a 240hz monitor, but in the windows settings and advanced options is maximum 144hz.

It's pluged by display port what comes with monitor. I have the ASUS gtx 1070 8gb. Does somebody know where is the problem? I tried switching different dp, but nothing works. Please help.

You must have gotten the wrong monitor since it says clearly 143hz monitor in the settings to the left in the windows settings. I searched up your monitor and all I can find is a Samsung LC27RG50FQUXEN which is not the same I don't think. < this one has 240hz but I think you got the wrong one.
