Minecraft LAN problems

Hello!

 

 

I want to play Minecraft on LAN with my brother but it dont work.

 

I can see his Lan server and i press on it but it dont connect. When i create a server he cant even see it.

 

We both have 1.7.5 version, also the newest but still cant connect?

 

Is it any problem with JAVA options or something or what??

Hello!

 

Why not just run a local server instead of using LAN? I know it's more taxing for one of your PC's, but it just works most of the time.

Have you tried direct connecting using his ip address and the port number?

Edit: Local IP and the port that is shown in the chat box of minecraft when a LAN game is started.
