Isn´t Soldered RAM a bad idea?

T-series doesn't have soldered RAM. But if you want a 14"+ under 4 pounds, good luck finding something completely upgradable.

Budget (including currency): 800 US

Country:  US (gotta be amazon and only amazon)

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: AutoCAD, Photoshop, ArcGIS.

Other details it must weight max. 4 lb. The more RAM, the more Storage space and the more battery life the better. No gaming.

It would be ideal to find a 16 GB RAM, 1TB (or more) 15"  laptop.

Since I have no idea about latest laptops, I searched for those specs with the latest (?) CPU, but have no idea if those can handle the programs above and if it is a good battery. https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?N=100006740 600004926 600004925 600004924 600004344 600165638 600136700 601183480 600337010 601307583 601303722 601343209&LeftPriceRange=50+800

BTW. this laptop will be in a backpack traveling a lot so it also needs some quality.

Any advice?

How about the Asus  VivoBook 15 X512DA. It seems it also has soldered RAM (4GB), but a free slot for additional 8GB).
