Software readings for voltage can always be buggy. Just ignore it if it seems to be wrong.

hi,

I have a maximus vi hero with a 4770k. The problem is that ai suite 3 sometimes shows that the voltage of some cores is o.oo. Sometimes in core 0; others in core 1; and others in the others cores.the voltages keep changing(as normal) and most times is when the cpu is idle. the cpu works great, so is this just a reading bug of ai suite 3? what do you think?

sorry for my english

thanks!

help is appreciated.

Hey

I also have a Asus Hero with a i7-4770K and I just checked in AI 3 and it's is changing and there is a little bit differens btw. the cores.

Now in idle it is 0.704 volts. And that is in High Performance mode.

When i change it to Max Power saving mode it drope to 0.656 volts again there is sometime a little difference btw. the cores.

I dont think this is an issue just they way the system is. But i have never seen it lower than around 0.6 volts.

In my experience, AI Suite 3 gives a reasonably accurate voltage reading at idle, but can be very wrong under load.  If you want to know your voltages, get a digital multimeter.  That will be the only way to know your voltages for sure, and I wouldn't trust software voltage readings.

AI Suite, Intel Extreme and HWMonitor have done the same on my Hero in

temp and voltage reporting. 0° and -6v on a 5.5v busline. it is a normal

occurrence and closing the app and restarting sometimes helps. also not

running similar apps simultaneously as they tend to fight over sensor readings.

also, i uninstalled FAST USB 3.0 and charge USB and minimized a lot of errors.

I certainly wont trust Asus software for monitoring. Last time I was on P8Z77 V-LK, other than 0.00v for core I also got 128V on various readings. It happens more often if I use the Asus software together with some other monitoring software. Asus suite will always give me wrong reading compared to Hwmonitor

AI Suite 3 should be correct. I think it might be something related to power saving but I am not certain. Try submitting a technical inquiry: https://vip.asus.com/eservice/techserv.aspx

If you are using AI Suite 2, it is a very buggy software and produces ridiculous voltages. However if you are using AI Suite 3, it may be due to incompatibility problems as the board is not built for AI Suite 3.

I dont exactly remember which one did I use but I use whatever that is linked to that product page. So, I dont think it is compatibility issue but just a buggy software... :D

Though my comment went through as general opinion on AI suite, not specifically on version 3
