Urgent Advice required.

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

RX570 is a pretty decent card.  Not something I would want to run on that PSU.

You should be fine for a while (other than some BSODs, shut downs and other crashes), but the PSU shouldn't actually "damage" your graphics card.

Hello Guys,

I'm planning to purchase a new Rx 570 4gb GPU. However,  I'm a little concerned regarding my GPU like whether it'll be able to handle it or not. i have an Antec BP450P PSU, and it's not 80 plus certified. I have added an attachment for your reference purpose.

Lastly, I'm running very tight on budget, therefore i request you all to please not to recommend another PSU. it's the best i could afford. even this one was expensive. So, i have 2 options either to go with rx 570 or to purchase GTX 1650 to be on safer side.

I request you guys to please help me out with this. I will really appreciate your help.

Thank you. :)

My Configuration:

R3 2200G,

Msi A320M Mobo,

4gb x 2 ram sticks @ 2400mhz,

Antec BP450P PSU.

Wow. So much bad advice.

While 450W would normally be fine, that PSU with it's double forward front end, anemic PFC bridge diode and lack of DC to DC is absolutely horrible for any PC with a discrete graphics card.

Do you guys actually know what you're talking about or do you respond so you can say "post = post + 1"????

Hey jonnyguru,

Thank you so much for replying. However, It was too technical for me to even understand. i request if you could please explain in layman terms.

Well, I have already booked the card from amazon. so, it won't run properly?

like if i undervolt the card then will it run? However, as a layman, i don't wanna get myself into that hassle as well.

So, what would you suggest in this circumstances? i appreciate your response.

Thank You.

Hey,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I'll try to minimize my gaming so it won't draw much power from the PSU.  it's my first GPU after all. I'll try to buy a 80 plus certified PSU within 2-3 months. i'm hoping my psu will handle till then.

Anyways, Jonnyguru, I would like to sincerely thank you for the advise. I really appreciate it.

Thank you NZGamer, bluescope819, and escapenz for the advises.

I'm new to this community. Any mistake,if any, from my side is unintentional.

Thank You Guys. :)
