Old Hard Drive ?

I have an old 2.5 inch hard drive from an old laptop that just broke and i am wondering whether it's possible to plug it into my motherboard on my PC to retrieve some files ?

Is it SATA drive? You can use that as internal drive just as you would use SSD or get external SATA to USB connector or enclosure.
