im sorry if this isn't the right sub to ask

Hi, im doing pc repairs and 2 days agoi got a pc from a friend which he told me it would crash when he launched games on it so i took it and i tested it and yeah i launched fortnite played for maybe 5 mins and it was crashing with errors about corrupted data and sometimes bsoding from memory management, so what i did was reinstall windows and reinstall the game, launched it played for 2h straight and it was fine as it was, next day i tested it again just to be sure and everything was working so i gave it to him saying it works again, but he messaged me afterwards saying that it wasn't fixed - same problems again, so now i want to ask you can it be because of his setup? his rig is as follows
- msi A320M
- APU 9th gen AMD Ryzen 3 3200G
- ddr4 2666Mhz
- 500W psu
but how it is possible that when im testing it at my house its fine but then when he connects his periphals it isnt working?
sorry for a longpost but i dont really know what to do.
thanks

Did you update the bios? Most have memory improvements and fixes. Had a somewhat same issue with a friends computer. Kept getting memory corrupt BSODS. Updated the BIOS including a OC. She hasn't had a issue since. I also re-set the RAM and did a clean OS install.

I wonder if it is a problem with AMD gpus. I used to use a rx 580 and would always get BSOD and crashes from trying to play certain games, I saw another post a while back of this issue.
