Low gpu usage

I bought a new pc with these specs :

Gpu : Kfa2 Rtx 2060 super

Cpu: Ryzen 2700

Ram: 16 gb ram dual channel 3200 mhz

Mobo: Msi a320 a pro max

Psu:Corsair Vs650 

Ssd : Wd green 256 gb 

I downloaded fortnite on my ssd and i was really disappointed in performance the game was so stuttery and not smooth at all at 1080p low settings so i downloaded msi afterburner and started to monitor my gpu and cpu usage and i was surprised that gpu usage was 30% to 50% and cpu was about the same so its not a cpu bottleneck 

 

Im really quite stumped on what to do next, if anyone has any ideas i would love to hear them!

Enable xmp / docp. 

Set the power limit to max. 

Temps ? And use ddu.

Yep i tried all of that

Xmp is enabled

Temps not exceeding 80 in gpu

cpu is around 60 degrees

power plan is on ultimate performance

I tried dduing and reinstalling the drivers nothing changed

Why did you get a board with barely any capabilities to power a 2700. 

What voltages is it set to. And make sure your not power throttling.

Yes its prebuilt

The cpu voltage is set to auto in bios

How do i know if im power throttling or not ?

Use hwinfo64 or cpu z or heck even task manager and check clock speeds.

Yea monitor for longer. And monitor vrm temps with  hwinfo64. 

I would consider changing this board asap.

I'm more concerned about the board. As for the GPU usage. If you have GeForce experience get rid of it and install the drivers from the nvidea website.

Yes The ram is set to dual channel and its placed properly and the frequency is 3200 mhz

That means your hitting EDC limit. Not surprised with a board with 25a power stages.

Well that's most likely the reason. 12mm is pretty power hungry and it's an 8 core. I wouldn't trust this board with anything over an athlon.

Well around 75-100ish bucks. Look for the pro 4 and the pro vdh max and the a pro max ( NON M).
