Phone not Recognized in Windows 10

Hello,

I recently wanted to connect my phone (samsung galaxy a71) to my windows 10 computer to transfer some files, but windows gave me an error saying the device could not be recognized. I've tried connecting another phone, which got recognized. I couldn't find alot of solution for my problem. I reinstalled windows last month and before doing so it always worked fine. And yes I tried looking for drivers but I couldn't find any.

Try your phone on a different PC, if that doesnt work your phones USB port is shot. That will need to replaced.

Most current android phones only charge when connected by default, you have to select the USB notification and change it to media transfer.

It just means you havent broken power pins in your USB C port yet.image.png.d40340e051a63a00b8ca2cb22a7b6f8d.pngUSB C has twice the amount of power pins used for standard USB charging compared to usb2.0 data pins. (green and red pins are used for charging while purple ones are used for data transfer).

If your device does not get recognized by other PC's you need to get that USB C socket replaced.
