OK, im buying a Asus Sabertooth Z77 and i was wondering if it was safe to Oc from the Ai Suite or is there a safer option?

I would use that overclock as a reference and decrease voltage if needed and test it with P95 on blend for at least 12 hours because I heard that many people who used AI Suite to overclock got very high voltages.

It is safe to overclock using AI Suite but it doesn't let you fine tune your overclock as you would be able to do in the UEFI. As by default most settings are set to Auto so if you increase the CPU multiplier the voltages increase by a default amount. I have stopped using the Ai Suite for overclocking as i find i have gotten better temperatures doing it manually. Manually just takes quite a while the first time to get it right but it was worth it to me. Aslo all overclock settings can be saved on a USB drive which is an ease of mind when a reinstall of windows is needed.
