Speakers refusing to play audio using cable

Hi

So I recently picked up a pair of Edifier R1700BT's and I have to say I love them :)

But, I have a bit of an annoying issue. I've tested them using bluetooth on my PC + Phone and it works seamlessly (I've tested lag over and over and can't hear any/see any on tests) but I'd still prefer to have it wired.

I've tried the front 3.5mm and the one in the motherboard and I just can't get them to play the audio.

I have this plugged into the back ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UThttps://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00LM2Y2U4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 into the aux in and tried the PC in and they just refuse to play audio, I've made sure it's set to use that mode but nothing at all. It displays on my PC as being plugged in but there's just no sound coming out.

I know that headphone jacks are (sadly) an ancient relic at this point, but if your phone has one, have you tried plugging into that? Or anything else?

Just plugged it into my laptop, played perfectly okay so it's not the cable which is good at least :)

Does anything else play off of your PC headphone jack? I would suggest reinstalling your audio drivers and setting your speakers to your default playback device in control panel (not the Settings app)

I had another set of speakers on the same jack and it worked perfectly. Tried setting it all to defaults etc but I'll give it another shot and I'll reinstall my audio drivers next
