Hello.

I have been looking for a replacement since last weekend cause my side glass panel for my Corsair 465X shattered. Apparently I cannot get them on their site cause their sold out, so I was considering an mod alternative.

Trying to measure on what I need, but I'm still cannot say for sure what if this is the 100% accurate. Might try to get a quote for someone who owns them and give me like a glass cutting template or something. I already know which type of glass to get so no worries, just the size that I'm trying to measure especially where put drill holes on..

Anyone?

The problem is panel glass is tempered.  It’s cut to size and soaked in a sodium bath.  It cannot be cut at all after it is tempered.  It could be done custom but would be very expensive.  Cheaper to get a whole new case probably.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Guessing I would go to acrylic glass then? Still need to do something to cover it that doesn't like cost over $50 or something.

just get a piece of smoked acrylic and cut to fit , drill holes larger then you need and once you go to screw it in the size of the hole will make up for the mistakes. cover the holes with washers. job done

Think I'm getting on the size but measures are still a problem.

Acrylic is very easy to cut.  You could go to the hardware store buy the piece and measure it on the case.  The thing to be careful of is acrylic is extremely easy to scratch because it’s both brittle and soft.  This means it saws and drills a bit weirdly and can crack if pushed too hard as well as leave annoying streamers of material when drilled.  In general it’s a ton easier to deal with than glass though.
