Hello everyone.

Since my old 7970 was DOA and i got a refund. I'm thinking about buying an GTX770-DC2OC-2GD5.

But... I might possibly run into a slight problem. When i was checking the dimensions for my case to check if the card isn't too long, I found on a random website (not CM, since it's down) that my case, CM Centurion 5 II, has a max gpu card lenght of around 250mm.

Guess what. The 770 is 271.7mm. I don't know if it'll actually fit. You might in hindsight say it won't fit. But when looking up my old 7970 that did BARELY fit in my case, i found it it was actually 305mm. So i'm quite confused right now. I was lucky with the 7970 that i could barely fit the second power connector.

Do you think i'll be able to cut a piece out of my case when it ends up not fitting?

And do you think this will just fit?

Just remove a HDD cage if it doesn't fit.

It's not clipping the HDD cage. It's actually clipping the dvd drive cage if you know what i mean. And i don't think that's removeable.

if the card is shorter than the dimensions of the 7970, you should be fine. NVIDIA cards don't tend to be long.

Ok thanks. It was probably a dumb question, but better be safe than sorry right ;)
