Windows Search wont work

Go to solution Solved by WaterSheep,

reapair tool didnt help, im avoiding to reset or reinstall my windows聽馃槖

Update: I fixed it finally, I reinstall Windows App using PowerShell/CMD. Here is the Step by Step

  • Open PowerShell/CMD as Administrator
  • type :聽Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
  • Wait until it finishes its reinstallation then "Restart"

Everytime I click search in Windows Search, it wont respond. If I click the windows icon and scroll down for the installed apps Explorer.exe will聽suddenly crash and restart.
I pulled out the events viewer to see what error it said, But I don't know what's the reason about it.

The Powershell method worked exactly as hoped.聽 Working remote as IT, trying to figure out client computer doing this.聽 Ran the script, restarted the computer, logged back in, and everything working normal.聽 Microsoft site (hopeless to get actual help from there most of the time) recommended something with group policy affecting start menu, which had nothing to do with this.聽 (don't have start menu configured at all for the group policy)聽 Thank you Thank you!聽 Saved me from having to go in and do a full reinstall.聽聽
