Need help deciding gpu

I can't decide on what gpu should I buy for the long run (I won't be able to upgrade my gpu for 4 to 5 years) so,

Should I buy Rx 580 8gb or Rx 5500 tx 4gb

What are they priced at ? 

I would personally go with the 580 but it all depends on the price

RX580 is "a safer bet" for long term usage due to the VRAM. However it's already a pretty old card at this point, so another 5 years seems pretty unlikely.. but depends on which games you're planning to play.

 

I'd wait till Q3/Q4 this year for the new lineup from both AMD and Nvidia before deciding if you can afford the wait.

Hate to be *that* guy, but neither? Those are *okay* cards for today, but if your goals is not replace them for 4-5 years, they won't make it. If you want a good experience for that long, your going to have to put some money up, with a 5600 XT at the low end, just because it punches well above its weight class, but probably closer to a 2070 or 2080.
