Hi! Can anyone guess the model of cpu through this cpu cooler?

It looks old, like from sandy bridge or below.

I only need your thoughts if my guess is correct or atleast close.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, but my x-ray specs do not work on pictures. All I see is the back of my monitor.

Look at what model of motherboard it is and that will give you an idea of what generation CPU it is. If you want to know what model of CPU it is either boot it to the BIOS or remove the cooler.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

Could be a Core 2 Duo or Pentium 4.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Based on the model number it's socket 775. It would have had a later Pentium 4 up to a Core 2 Extreme or Xeon. They're pretty easy to take off to see what's under, the thermal paste is probably dry anyway

so this one should be with lga 775 as well? image.png.989e8b3892e14e920438f4e5ca73f025.png
