A friend of mien recommended that I post this here.

For the past couple days I've been looking for software that can detect the drivers on my system and recommend updates. I know Window's Update will automatically show a list of what to update but it isn't... very reliable espiecally since it seems to fail quite often when it comes to detecting some drivers.

Most parts have a website with support or downloads.

Check dates though.. if not go to parts other manufacturers website like realtek, quallcom or nvidia/amd directly.

Eg a Mobo website driver for example Realtek LAN might be best or more recent drivers to head to Realtek for the Latest for your part model instead of the mobo website version.

Depends on if the motherboard support page stays updated.. but it points you in the right direction afterwards because the mobo website has the list of drivers and names for components onboard.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

is it a pc or a laptop

i dont reccomend any software to detect the drivers
i usually download manually form respective manufacture sites

if its a pc, download it from the mb manufacturer
if its a laptop, download it from the support page

If its not broke then dont attempt to fix it.

In my 20 odd years of I.T i never update drivers just because theres a newer version as i find that doing so can introduce problems rather than fix them.

Leave well alone unless u r having an issue is my advice.
